History

 1992 Trading company “Wolfram-Molybden”, CJSC was founded in Moscow. The core team of the company had a background in the former Ministry of Non-ferrous Metallurgy of USSR.


1997 The core team of “Wolfram-Molybden”, CJSC, headed by Michael Gorbachev, established a new company “WOLFRAM Company”, CJSC.


2004 WOLFRAM Company founded a joint venture “Kainar-Wolfram” for producing tungsten concentrate in Mongolia.


2005 WOLFRAM Company became a shareholder at “Hydrometallurg”, JSC (Nalchik, the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Russia), which is known to be the largest APT and tungsten oxide producer in Russia and former USSR and the only one in Russian Federation processing both scheelite and tungstenite.


2006 WOLFRAM Company commenced realization of the project including Refractory metals plant (Unecha, Bryansk Region, Russia) which main activity is production of tungsten metal powders and tungsten carbide powders of high quality and an apartment
bock wor the plant’s workers.


2007 “Kainar-Wolfram” company was sold due to resource depletion.


2007 WOLFRAM Company became a shareholder at “TGOK”, JSC (Tyrnyauz Mining and Processing Plant), a bankrupt company that used to develop the Tyrnyauz mine, the biggest tungsten deposit in Russian Federation, to restart the production of tungsten concentrates.


2012 WOLFRAM Company and the Government of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic established “KB WMC”, OJSC (Kabardino-Balkarian Tungsten-Molybdenum Company) to develop the Tyrnyauz deposit on the basis of the existing assets of “TGOK”, JSC.


2013 WOLFRAM Company obtained a license for developing of the Yanizavanskaya Area (Khabarovskiy Krai) and established “WOLFKO”, LLC for the mining project.


2013 WOLFRAM Company established “Primorwolfram”, LLC for the development of the Zabytoe Deposit (Primorsky Krai).


2015 The Company has put into operation Ferro-Tungsten production workshop at Unecha Refractory Metals Plant (Unecha, Bryansk region of Russia). Production capacity is 2,000mt per year.


2016 The Company commenced works on arranging Tungsten and Tin containing ores mining and dressing and concentrates production at Zabytoe (Horbidden) deposit (Primorsky region of Russia).

 2005 WOLFRAM Company became a shareholder at “Hydrometallurg”, JSC (Nalchik, the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Russia), which is known to be the largest APT and tungsten oxide producer in Russia and former USSR and the only one in Russian Federation processing both scheelite and tungstenite.


2011 As part of the environmental improvement program, remediation project for technogenic tungsten deposit's working out site (tailings of “Hydrometallurg”, JSC) was started.

 2006 WOLFRAM Company commenced realization of the project including Refractory me-tals plant (Unecha, Bryansk Region, Russia) which main activity is production of tun-gsten metal powders and tungsten carbide powders of high quality and an apartment
bock wor the plant’s workers.


2007 In the framework of social program on  providing workers with housing, and in order to attract new staff, the construction        100-apartment house in Unecha, Bryansk region was started.


2010 The company started construction of the second launch facility for the production of tungsten carbides at Refractory metals plant in Unecha, Bryansk Region.


2011 The company put into operation the first launch facility of Refractory metals plant for the production of tungsten powders, with capacity of 500 tons per year.


2011 100-apartment house in Unecha put into operation.


2012 The company put into operation the second launch facility of Refractory metals plant for the production of tungsten carbides, with a capacity up to 600 tons per year.


2014 The company put into operation a production site for tungsten rods, with capacity of 120 tons per year.


2014 For the construction of production site for ferrotungsten, the company acquired new site in Unecha, Bryansk Region ("Unecha Refractory Metals Plant" Ltd., 17 Zalineynaya Str.)
